Alone
591. Alone
The first of 7 poems one night, to a new muse.
The bard is alone, there's noone tuning in to listen
As he puts his guts on the line and his eyes do glisten.
He wants to sing of a trio tonight but noone cares to hear,
They just want their shallow sterile lives with no time to tear.
A boy has been alone so long, the sadness has taken its toll.
He used to smile often, but now he is like a stone, oh so dull.
Hes lost in love and is unable to find that spirit that used to soar.
He's found a sweet enough gal, one with a heart warm and pure.
She is also alone, she thinks back at a long hard life
Then remembers the better times, now only strife.
She knows he's gentle and means well but he's all muddled up.
She loves him tonnes and cries for him to wake and stand up.
His mother is alone, she can feel her life's spark start to fade.
She wonders if they'll ever make it wants to gift her son a spade.
So he may someday unearth the secret of winning through toil.
That one finds diamonds after a backbreaking unearthing of soil.
Dear God why do you keep us alone and in somber mood?
[God Answers]
My children, life is only a test for those who've misunderstood,
Be happy and life is easy, you will live together in my shadow.
Just smile, you're not alone, just being made pure as snow.
